After pulling it not once but twice, AT&T is finally letting US iPhone users have free access to their hotspots in places like Starbucks. After having read articles like this one in at CNET – http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-9994170-94.html I had to go check it out for myself. Sure enough, once inside Starbucks the iPhone easily recognized their WiFi (be sure it selects AT&T and not T-mobile). The Process is straightforward enough – type in your iPhones number complete with area code and a Text is sent to your phone with a special link. You’re not charged for the text and the link let’s you log in for free instead of having to pay. Keep in mind the link only works for *that* Starbucks and if you go to another you have to re-login and get a new link.
