13 Google does not understand what a telephone is

There’s nothing worse than taking a call or trying to talk to someone over a low quality, scratchy, device. You can call my land-line any time: (540) 433-8402 and let me test the quality of your phone. (No, I won’t return your call!) I called Google, and their phones are not mobile phone – because even they know the worst public relations you can have is a trashy phone.
Isn’t it a laugh that Google doesn’t let you change your profile URL unless you have a mobile phone. That’s pretty lame. I do NOT have a mobile phone. They are such low quality it sounds like you’re talking from the men’s room at the ball park.
I’ve preached about quality #PR and #Marketing communications for more than 30 years – including over 26 years online in my http://www.60-Seconds.com/ column. You’d think people would think about quality once in a while. Rant is over. So for now, I will NOT have a Google+ URL…

14 Quotes: Laughing

A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor’s book.
– Irish proverb

Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand.
– Mark Twain

Laugh at yourself, but don’t ever aim your doubt at yourself. Be bold. When you embark for strange places, don’t leave any of yourself safely on shore. Have the nerve to go into unexplored territory.
– Alan Alda
