I’m Supposed to Do What? …Where??

Yeah, we all have stuff to do; are you noticing that a lot of that stuff needs to be done in a particular place? Or in one particular place rather than another? How does this sound?:

Perhaps the coolest part of Checkmark 2 is the ability to create location groups. Say you need to remember to pick up some milk when you go by the grocery store – easy enough for you to set a location-based reminder that pings you. But let’s say there are a handful of grocery stores you frequent – Checkmark can alert you to pick up milk when you go by any of them.

Pretty nifty, huh? Here’s the whole story: Checkmark 2 reminds you to do that thing at the place.

Were You at the Meeting Last Night?

You weren’t?? What were you thinking?      :::shaking head:::

At Coco’s, topics ranged from Ireland, to the singular of martini, to panorama photos, to amber (the fossilized tree resin amber); we also missed Jordi.

That’s my story; I’m sticking to it!

Managing Your Photograph Collection in iPhoto

Prof Breen posted an interesting question from a reader this morning:

I am a casual photographer who has amassed about 10,000 pictures in my iPhoto library. iPhoto now runs so slowly that it is essentially unusable (and occasionally tells me that my Library has been corrupted). I’ve heard a few people recommend switching to Aperture, adding iPhoto Library Manager, or jumping to an Adobe or Google product. I just want something where I can organize my photos by date/event and do very light editing. What do you recommend?

In How to speed up a slow iPhoto library, Chris gets into some detail in his answer, based on the reader’s stated requirements. Interesting!
