  Pop-ups in UGNN Web site???

My apologies for doing such a realistic screen in last week’s column, we had several people write to say “There’s a pop-up on your Web page?” or “You wrote about it, and then it happened!” or “Is it associated with your site?”… No, folks, it was a graphic intended to illustrate what one of these drive-by pop-ups looks like. I’m glad at least a few of you readers are actually reading! And we thank you for it!

UGNN Facebook Update: Facebook should pay US, Gangs, Harvard, Twitter, Professionally Personable

Yes, we continue our relentless chase of what’s cool on Facebook, but it’s truly impossible because new crap keeps getting shoved in our faces before we can act on the last crap. Paid posts are taking over, and fewer and fewer people are seeing your crap because they’re too busy posting their own crap. But hey, it’s all really good crap; follow along:

Is our love affair with iPad fading? Is it getting more and more ordinary? Has the iPhone and Watch now taken the place of the iPad? Will Apple recover its lead in the tablet field? Questions, questions, questions:

Take a hand in helping everyone avoid cybercrime!

When you want to make a difference, start reporting spam and phishing from your e-mail. It’s really easy, you just get the addresses, put them in your address book, and when you see a criminal attempt, just forward to the appropriate address. Unfortunately Google does not police Gmail, so cybercriminals using Gmail don’t get reported. But PayPal, Amazon and most banks have a spam or spoof address. Just today I forwarded one to … here’s the reply I got:
