01 CISPA – Obama? Google? NSA? DHS? Al Qaeda? Who?

User Group Network UGN Safenetting and Cybercrime report
Following along with the CISPA issues, and the recent “awakenings” about Google, and Google Glass, and the NSA, it is such an interesting experiment in the “social” human. That’s why we have included Obama’s video on the subject below. You recall people on Facebook who shared and liked insane political propaganda depicting Obama as the second coming of Jesus Christ during the campaign – but now, they’re insanely against his policies. But then in the next moment, they click Google to search for something. They either don’t get it – or they’re in denial. Anyway, read it with a level eye by following the InfoManager…

05 Air Media Server

I’m always looking for ways to expand video usage on my Mac. My Mac User Group had presentations on a number of AirPlay devices and apps at the first of the year as well as one more recently on building a media server using Plex on the Mac and using a Roku box to receive the Plex video. We only briefly mentioned that someone has figure out how how to use the Trailers app on AppleTV to receive Plex video as well. 10 The future of cinema and TV: It’s game over for the hi-res hype

This week’s bursts from Terry “The Mac Doctor” Bowman, come with the subject line: “Is your movie strobing?” (among others!)

Digital video guru and author of The MPEG Handbook, John Watkinson, examines the next generation of TV and film and reveals it shouldn’t be anything like what we’re being sold today. http://bit.ly/11DWgWX

… but then writes :
Mavook: Author of the Flashback worm
adding :
“BTW, I have a copy of the page that infects you (you have to click OK to download it).”

Then he cautions :

11 Quotes: What about time?

Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.
–Jim Rohn
