At our meeting, we will discuss the exciting recent announcements from Apple, including the new MacBook Air line, and also highlights of the brand new version of the popular lifestyle software suite, iLife 11.
David Whitby will regale us with another delightful review of Tips and Tricks, highlighting the iPhone and iPad. Scott Harrell will be showing you LinkedIn, a professional social networking tool.
We will also offer our regular monthly features, including Q&A and our fabulous monthly prize drawing. Don’t forget, members receive one free ticket for our drawing. When you bring guests you get another free ticket for each guest you bring.
The meeting will be held at the Pasadena Public Library Main Branch Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Following the general meeting, we have our informal Meeting after the Meeting at Coco’s Restaurant, 77 North Lake Avenue (between Colorado Blvd. and Holly Street).
The San Gabriel Valley Macintosh Users Group will conduct elections for the 2011-2012 Board of Directors at its Annual Meeting on Monday, December 20, 2010. The meeting will be at our usual venue, the Pasadena Central Library, at 7:00 p.m.
Board member Sean McKinley is Chair of the Nominations Committee. Please consider nominating either yourself or someone you know who would be willing and able to serve. You can contact Sean at info@sgvaug.org to submit your nominations.
There are twelve positions available on the Board of Directors, and we currently have only nine candidates for nomination — most of whom are current members of the Board.
We will announce a slate of nominees prior to our November 15th general meeting. At that meeting, we will solicit any additional nominations, and then close nominations at the end of the meeting.
