September 20th General Meeting

Ransomware and Malware, Continued

In this day and age, you can’t be too safe.

You are about to enter another dimension. A dimension of psychology and software…

Ransomware, Malware, Phishing, and dangers of computing online…

Security of your System and data isn’t something you do once, it’s a way of thinking. We’ll present an overview of the key concerns and the key things you can do before and after to get and keep your systems and your data safe. To get you in the mood, here are three horror stories that might just keep you up at night…

User gets a text thinks it’s from their employer and sends their driver’s license front and back.

User enters their e-mail credentials in a phishing site and within 12 hours their ms365 account has been hacked and has sent over 300 additional Phishing messages.

User clicks on a link without due care and their computer and their company’s server becomes encrypted by Ransomware.

Next stop: the Security Zone…
