April Fools!!!
In keeping with the season, and ongoing security concerns, we’ll venture a bit off the usual path here, for just a moment:
California residents inundated the USGS with questions after receiving an email warning them of an impending earthquake. The agency quickly sent out a message on social media to squelch the rumor claiming the ”USGS does not predict earthquakes”, KCAL’s Stacy Butler reports. (from Fake USGS email predicting massive quake spooks Calif. residents)
The moral of the story? Think!! And check out who that e-mail is really coming from.
